R… Rajkumar Movie Review

Ratings:1.5/5 Review By: Taran Adarsh Site:Bollywoodhungama
Shahid Kapoor gets to portray a mass-friendly character and he gives it his best shot. He's an exceptional dancer and emotes very well too, but, like I pointed out earlier, he looks far from real when it comes to fighting an army of villains. Sonakshi Sinha seems to be getting repetitive and needs to reinvent herself. Ditto for Sonu Sood, who plays the mandatory villain without much of an effort.

Asrani is just about okay. Ashish Vidyarthi plays the evil uncle to perfection. Mukul Dev is passable. Srihari doesn't get ample scope.

On the whole, R... RAJKUMAR doesn't work. It is Prabhu Dheva's weakest Hindi film to date!

A violent action film that has been designed to give Shahid Kapoor a tough-guy makeover, R… Rajkumar is weighed down by just the kind of music-and-machismo formula that worked for Wanted and Rowdy Rathore, but has now lost its edge. Saddled with a scratchy screenplay that goes round in circles, Shahid Kapoor ends up looking more moronic than macho. The screenplay, whatever little there is of it, is mangled heap of nonsense. Logic and good taste are given a wide berth all the way through. For the film, on its part, is pure poppycock. The only place that it should be heading to is the cleaners.

The biggest reason why R…Rajkumar is a big disappointment is that there is no surprise element in the film. One could easily predict the entire plot of the film. But director Pradbhu Dheva can’t be blamed for this let down. He made a similar film with Akshay Kumar (Rowdy Rathore) and earned over Rs. 100 crore. Like Parbhu Dheva’s other Bollywood films, this one too has a South Indian touch. Past paced scenes, quirky item numbers and a hero who could beat just anybody. Even if you are big fan of no-brainer action thriller, we would suggest you to watch R…Rajkumar on TV.

R… Rajkumar’ is an incoherent movie that blatantly piggybacks on Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’ laurels. The main drawback of ‘R…Rajkumar’ is its wobbly plot. The characters appear and disappear at random, and shift loyalties without reason or logic. And, every possible genre – whether comedy, action, drama, romance – finds a part in the plot. His dance moves, one that he even steps in to do, are mind-blowing, but his movie, unfortunately just doesn’t match up

Aata Arambam Movie Review

Aata Arrambham banks too much on Ajith’s screen presence and the actor doesn’t disappoint. He may not dance like a dream or look fit, but he makes up for all that with his daredevil stunts and screen presence. The second half in particular drags too much and the climax is quite disappointing. Aata Arrambham is not a bad film at all, but it could have been so much better and riveting.

Unlike our Telugu films filled with formula content of three comedy bits, four songs etc, ‘Aata Aarambam’ is a true Vishnuvardhan product. Of course, the content gets cliché ridden in second half thus a fall in standards, yet the film is worth once a watch if you admire Ajith for chic looks and Nayan for hot body. Anyways, Rana too will be an added advantage for Telugu audience who is the real key for total story. By the time of climax and pre-climax, graph falls down or I can say that, the game of Transfering the Amount from Akshara Gowda’s Bank Account is the point from where movie falls down in speed. On any comparison, first half runs at a deadly pace and second half disappoints.

The movie “Aata Aarambam” can be watched once to get the thrill of action sequences in the movie particularly of Ajith. If you don’t look critically for the faults in the movie, you will enjoy it excepting a scene or two that may look dull. But overall impression you get is that the movie is a good one if you don’t think of how better it could have been made.

Aata Arambam Movie Review

Ratings:3/5 Review By: Jeevi Site:Idlebrain
Prema Ishq Kaadhal is an urbane story that starts on a promising note. First half is decent. Second half has dragging moments. But the climax of the film is nice. Plus points of the film are fresh star cast (especially Sree Vishnu and Ritu Varma) and technical values (mellifluous music and pleasing visuals). Short film director turned feature filmmaker Pavan Sadineni makes an honest attempt to make a different cinema by defying the routineness. On a whole, Prema Ishq Kaadhal is a different film.

The film will find some appreciation among a small segment of audience. However this appreciation would be limited and so will be its box office performance. Films like these needs time to grow with a consistent promotion, in the current situation there is a no time to grow and hence the film would find it hard to sustain.

This entertainer, targeted for youth, meets the requirement but not up to the expected level. Moreover this film targets the grey shades of today’s girls. That may appeal to many boys but not girls obviously

Analysis:
A new wave of filmmakers is emerging in Tollywood and it must be said that they are putting a good level of focus on the content and the plot. However, it is also essential that along with subject the sensibility to tap the box office pulse should also be developed. This is something the director of this movie failed to catch.  Due appreciation must be given to him for coming up with a story which belongs to the road movie genre and at the same time he tried to keep things as light as possible without much melodrama. But while dealing with road movies, the pace and screenplay has to be tight. At the same time, the need for few emotional peaks is also there.  There is a good balance in the way he weaved the entire story with reasoning and logic. But in that process, he seems to have sidelined the need for energy and entertainment that hooks the audience. The film takes off on a moderate note but the actual momentum picks up with the train journey.  The interval bang was alright and the second half also continues in a smooth manner. But lack of pace and few scenes getting stretched gives you that ‘something is missing’ feeling. Still, those who walk out of the theatres would not grumble and would feel this is a passable treat. Bottomline: A feel good film  - See more at: http://www.greatandhra.com/movies/reviews/venkatadri-express-review-will-impress-51853.html#sthash.6ztGZTjl.dpuf
